Planning is what makes a custom website successful
If you’ve ever wondered why some websites are intuitive, easy-to-use, money making machines and some are...not, we’ve got the answer: planning. Taking the extra time to sit down and think through how to bring each element of your vision to life can make all the difference to the end product.
In order to make your custom website bold it requires great planning.
Your website is your online front door allowing new and existing customers to find the information they need to know about all the great things you do.
It’s imperative that it be a true reflection of who you are and what you do because there are no second chances on the internet.
Jumping into a new website build or a website revamp without a proper plan in place is the quickest way to be disappointed with the results.
Taking the extra time to think through what you want out of your website, and why, is time well spent. This will give you and your website designer a deeper understanding of what you want, why you want it, and how best to get to that outcome.
Don’t let your story get buried in a bad website. Planning can help you and your website convert more visitors into customers with better results for everyone.
Work more effectively
Working with a design partner is very much a collaboration between you and them. In order to make the most of this relationship, it’s vital that you are able to clearly articulate your wants, needs, and ideas in a way that the designer can easily understand.
On the designer’s side, it’s important that they listen to your ideas and are able to make suggestions that will result in a better product.
Together, this partnership can deliver fantastic results, but it requires proper planning and strong communication.
Coming into a potential partnership with a clear plan and easy-to-understand project brief helps everyone involved start on the same page and move forward with ease.

How do i get started on a custom website design project?
We’ve worked with many business owners through the years and we’ve found that crafting a great project brief is something that all of them struggle with. With that in mind, we’ve created a process that will end with you having a clear, compelling, and in-depth project brief that you can take to any design agency you wish to work with. This project brief will map out the work that needs to be completed along with a list of deliverables that meets your needs and requirements.
A good project brief is essential to facilitating a great working relationship between you and your chosen design team. It helps bring your website vision to life and holds your design partners accountable to a written list of necessary elements.
Our process starts with a Discovery Meeting. In this virtual meeting, we will sit down with your team to get a better understanding of your goals for your new website. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions. Many of them will be “why.” We love this question because it helps you to think more deeply about your requirements and how they will work for your target audience. At the end of the day, your website is really about your customers and what they need in order to connect with you and your business. That’s what we aim to discover in this meeting.
And that’s it. That’s all we need from you. We’ll take our extensive meeting notes and turn them into a complete project brief all ready for you to hand over to your chosen design partner to get your project moving. If you choose to work with us, we’ll deduct the $1,000 Discovery Service from our proposal.
